Welcome!

President Gordon B. Hinckley said . . . "You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of these meaningful, significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be of significance only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."

All ready for Kindergarten!

M took her Kindergarten pre-screening assessment today!  She did so incredibly well.  I was able to be in the room when she took her "test", she could not see me but I could hear how everything went ... I was so extremely proud of her!

Some of the things they asked and the things she was able to do:
  • Count to 20, in hopes that kids can count  10 - M counted to 100!
  • Identify colors, shapes, letters, sounds and numbers - M did them all!
  • Write her first name - she wrote all three beautifully - Makayla Palos Rodriguez.
  • Asked to talk about her favorite animal - she picked a Giraffe, she not only explained why she loved Giraffe's, she said that she has had her giraffe blanket Geoff since she was a baby, that giraffe's have long leg's and tall necks because they eat from the tree tops, they are yellow with brown spots and that they are very gentle creatures!  WOW!
We are so excited for her to start Kindergarten, and the bonus is that I get to see my baby girl ever day at work!
